The Academic Discipline

I had hoped to have a really intricate tie-in about how both recognition and reciprocity are necessary in one’s approach to the humanities and with elegant connections between the course and the discipline, but the pandemic threw off most of our lives and definitely my plans for the end of second semester. In short, we must give recognition where it is due in the humanities, and pay extra attention to marginalized groups. This recognition is a group effort, an act of reciprocation: the golden rule of treating others how you want to be treated. The humanities without recognition or reciprocity is just the _____ities… itie… I tie… individual perspective.
